Description of pool filtration
The filter uses a special filter sand to capture particles of impurities from the pool water. The filter container is filled with filter sand and acts as a permanent dirt trap. When the control valve is in the FILTRATION position, pool water containing dirt is drawn through a system of hoses and automatically drawn into the control valve with the patented filter and from there into the top of the filter container. The water is then pushed through the sand, which removes the fine dirt, and drained into the lower part of the container. Through the control valve, the water is returned to the pool via hoses. The whole process is smooth and automatic and ensures complete recirculation of the pool water through the filter and hose system.
After a certain period of operation, the dirt accumulated in the filter will cause the water to deteriorate through the sand and reduce the flow through the filter unit. This means it is time to clean the filter. When you set the valve control lever to the PROPLACH position, the water flow will automatically reverse so that it flows from the bottom of the vessel through the filter sand, flushing the accumulated debris into the waste line. When the filter has been flushed, set the lever to the FILTER position and run the pump for one-half to one minute; then set the valve lever back to the FILTER position to allow normal filtering to resume.
