About Us
How long has PoolPlast been in business?
Why should I choose PoolPlast?
Why choose PoolPlast?
We are a family business and a direct manufacturer of plastic swimming pools and pool enclosures. We combine a personal approach with our own custom manufacturing, so you get a pool that suits your garden, your vision and your budget.
A family business with a personal approach
Every project matters to us. We listen to what you want, explain the available options and help you choose a solution that makes sense not only when you buy your pool, but also when you use it every day.
From the very first design, we work with you on the look of the pool, its dimensions, where the equipment will go, how it will be maintained and how it could be expanded in the future.
We don't just want to sell you a pool. We want to create a solution together that you will be happy with for years to come.
A pool and enclosure made to fit your garden
Because we manufacture everything ourselves, we aren't limited to standard catalogue sizes.
We can build both the plastic pool and the pool enclosure to the size you need, based on the available space and the design.
Together, we can design:
the length, width and depth of the pool,
the shape of the pool,
the style of the steps,
the size and position of the bench,
the type of skimmer or overflow,
the location of the pool equipment,
the size and style of the enclosure.
The result is a pool that fits your garden, not a garden that has to fit the pool.
Choice of material thickness
With us, you can also have a say in how the pool itself is built.
We offer a choice of wall and floor material thickness, including reinforced options. We'll explain each option and recommend the right solution based on the pool size, the installation method and the specific conditions on site.
This means you aren't stuck with a single, pre-set construction.
Custom equipment for your comfort
Everyone uses their pool a little differently. That's why we'll help you put together the equipment and accessories that match your needs.
For example, you can choose:
automatic water treatment,
salt water,
energy-efficient filtration,
a heat pump,
a counter-current swim system,
pool lighting,
a slatted pool cover,
a pool enclosure.
We design all the components to work well together and to make looking after your pool as easy as possible.
You deal directly with the manufacturer
You discuss your requirements directly with the people who know the design, manufacturing, installation and servicing of our pools and enclosures.
This allows us to fine-tune dimensions, technical details and custom modifications together, without information being passed back and forth between several middlemen.
And if a problem ever comes up, we know exactly how your pool was made and how to fix it.
Our care doesn't end with installation
For us, handing over the pool isn't the end of working with our customers.
We continue to look after our products for many years after installation. We service pools and enclosures that have been in use for 10 years or more.
We never want to leave a customer in the lurch. Whether there's a problem, or you need a spare part, servicing, advice or an upgrade to your existing equipment, we always do our best to find a solution and help.
We consider long-term servicing to be one of the most important parts of what we do.
A happy customer is our best advertisement
We believe quality work only makes sense when customers are happy not just on the day they receive their new pool, but also after many years of using it.
That's why we aim to build long-term relationships with our customers based on reliability, a personal approach and accessible servicing.
The greatest reward for us is when customers come back to us or recommend us to their family, friends and neighbours.
Tell us about the pool you have in mind. At PoolPlast, we'll design a solution that suits your garden, your needs and your lifestyle, and we'll be here for you long after it's installed.
Do you manufacture the pools yourselves?
Where and in which regions do you install?
We install throughout the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands. Visits to our premises in Staříč are possible by prior arrangement.

Pools
What is the difference between a skimmer pool and an overflow pool?
Can you make a custom pool in a non-standard size?
Which type of pool to choose
Skimmer, One-Sided Overflow or Overflow Pool? What Is the Difference?
When choosing a new pool, customers often decide not only by its size, colour or shape, but also by the way the water is circulated and drawn from the surface.
You will most often come across three options:
skimmer pool,
pool with a one-sided overflow,
full overflow pool.
Each solution has its own advantages, a different look, different requirements for site preparation and also different demands on the pool equipment.
Skimmer Pool
The skimmer pool is the most common and also the simplest option in terms of construction.
Water is drawn from the pool through a skimmer located in the upper part of the pool wall. From there it flows to the filtration system, where it is mechanically cleaned, and then returns to the pool through the return jets.
In a skimmer pool, the water level sits a few centimetres below the top edge of the pool. The exact water level also depends on the type of skimmer used. With modern narrow or superslim skimmers, the water level can be very close to the top edge of the pool.
Lowest Site Preparation Requirements
A major advantage of the skimmer pool is that it has the lowest requirements for a perfectly level base slab of all three options.
The base slab must of course be properly prepared, level and suitable for installing the pool, but minor height deviations do not affect water intake as significantly as they do with overflow pools.
In addition, a skimmer pool does not need a retention (balance) tank for overflowing water. This makes both the installation itself and the pool equipment simpler.
Advantages of a Skimmer Pool
simplest site preparation,
lowest requirements for a perfectly level base slab,
no retention or balance tank needed,
lower purchase costs,
fewer technical components,
easy maintenance and servicing,
suitable for most family pools,
option to use a standard or superslim skimmer,
simple connection to the pool equipment.
A skimmer pool is the ideal choice for customers looking for a reliable, affordable pool that is easier to build.
Pool with a One-Sided Overflow
A one-sided overflow is an interesting middle ground between a classic skimmer pool and a full overflow pool.
With this solution, water flows over one selected side of the pool into an overflow channel. From there it is carried to a retention (balance) tank and then back to the pool through the filtration system.
Faster Removal of Debris from the Surface
One of the main advantages of a one-sided overflow is the effective removal of debris from the water surface.
The overflow channel can capture surface debris faster than a standard skimmer, because water continuously flows over the entire length of one side of the pool.
Leaves, insects, pollen and other debris floating on the surface are therefore carried into the filtration system more quickly.
Higher Water Level than a Skimmer Pool
With a one-sided overflow, the water level can be higher than in a classic skimmer pool.
This gives the pool a more modern look and makes the water surface visually more striking. However, a one-sided overflow cannot fully match the design of a full overflow pool, where the water level is flush with the surroundings practically around the entire perimeter.
A one-sided overflow is therefore an attractive compromise between functionality, appearance and price.
A Level Base Slab Is Important
With a one-sided overflow, the accuracy of site preparation becomes considerably more important.
Particular attention must be paid to the levelness of the base slab across the width of the pool, i.e. where the overflow channel is located.
If the pool were not level in this direction, the water might not flow evenly along the entire length of the overflow edge.
Retention Tank
Unlike a skimmer pool, a one-sided overflow requires a retention or balance tank to collect the water flowing over the overflow edge.
Advantages of a One-Sided Overflow
more modern pool appearance,
higher water level than a skimmer pool,
fast removal of surface debris,
overflow channel along one entire side,
very good water circulation,
less demanding construction and equipment than a full overflow pool,
an attractive compromise between skimmer and overflow solutions.
However, you need to allow for a retention tank and more precise site preparation, especially along the overflow edge.
Overflow Pool
An overflow pool is the solution for customers who place great emphasis on design, a clean water surface and an impressive look.
Its main distinguishing feature is a water level that sits practically flush with the surrounding terrace or paving.
Water flows over the edge of the pool into an overflow channel and then on into a retention (balance) tank. From there, the filtration pump draws the water into the filtration system and then returns it to the pool.
The Main Advantage Is the Look of the Water Surface
Appearance is one of the main reasons why customers choose an overflow pool.
The water surface visually blends with the pool surroundings, with no noticeable gap between the top edge of the pool and the water level, as there is with a classic skimmer solution.
The result is a clean, modern and luxurious water surface.
Maximum Emphasis on a Level Base Slab
With an overflow pool, the accuracy and levelness of the base slab are extremely important.
The pool must be installed with real precision, because even a relatively small height deviation can cause water to flow unevenly over different parts of the overflow edge.
The longer the overflow edge, or the larger the part of the pool perimeter that overflows, the more important precise site preparation becomes.
Retention Tank Behind the Pool
The system must include a retention or balance tank that collects the water displaced from the pool, for example by swimmers, as well as the water flowing in from the overflow channels.
In our solutions, the retention tank is usually placed behind the pool so that the entire system is compact and functional.
Advantages of an Overflow Pool
water level almost flush with the surrounding paving,
luxurious, minimalist look,
very good removal of debris from the entire surface,
excellent water circulation,
an impressive solution for modern family homes,
also suitable for wellness and commercial facilities.
However, you need to allow for a higher purchase price, a retention tank and, above all, very precise preparation of the base slab.
What material are the pools made of?
Enclosures
What types of enclosures do you offer?
What are the enclosure panels made of?
Will an enclosure extend the swimming season?
Which is better: a single-rail or a double-rail pool enclosure?
It depends on where the pool is located and what the customer needs. A single-rail enclosure offers rail-free access from three sides, while a double-rail enclosure provides stable guidance of the segments on both sides.
Is a single-rail enclosure as sturdy as a double-rail one?
A quality single-rail enclosure must be structurally designed for one-sided guidance. Its strength depends on the profiles used, the structural joints, the anchoring and the specific dimensions. The number of rails alone is not enough to judge how durable it is.
How high are the rails of the Madeira Low-Wide enclosure?
The premium Madeira Low-Wide system from PoolPlast uses running rails only 16 mm high. Their low profile makes it easier to move around the pool and allows them to blend discreetly into the patio.
Can a pool enclosure be made to measure?
Yes. PoolPlast manufactures sliding pool enclosures to fit the dimensions of your pool and the technical possibilities of each model. Customers can choose the colour of the aluminium profiles, the polycarbonate glazing and other accessories.
